SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has been charged in a hit-and-run that killed a woman in Cherry Hill on Thanksgiving Day.

Michael Rodgers Jr., of Washington Square West in Philadelphia, is charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal accident and obstruction.

Police say an extensive investigation led them to the 29-year-old, who they believe was behind the wheel of the car that struck and killed a woman as she was crossing Route 70, near the Garden State Park shopping complex, just after 7 p.m.

The victim's body wasn't discovered until the next morning.

She was later identified as 29-year-old Tabreia Ewing, of Camden.

Police say Rodgers turned himself in on Friday.
