PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Most cold cases are among some of the most serious and traumatic a police department will take on.

However, Upper Providence Township Police say they are taking on a "cold case" of a different type, one of a wedding ring that apparently comes from a marriage in 1948.

Police said it took in a men's silver wedding ring at a Wawa location on Providence Road a short distance from the U.S. 1 Media Bypass.

The ring has a pair of initials, along with a wedding date of 10-2-48.

Police ask you to call them at 610-566-8445 if you have lost the ring. You will need to provide the police with the right initials.
