LOWER PROVIDENCE, P.A. (KYW Newsradio) — Fire crews battled a brush fire in Lower Providence into Thursday evening that closed Route 422 Eastbound for around three hours.
The fire was first reported around 5 p.m. near Valley Lane and Bratton Drive in Lower Providence, and Route 422 Eastbound was closed not long after as smoke billowed onto the roadway and overhead.
No injuries have been reported in the fire and an investigation into its cause is still underway.
