MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Netflix has announced it's opening a massive theme-park-style experience at the King of Prussia Mall called the Netflix House.
It'll be more than 100,000 square feet of live experiences for people to transport to Hawkins, Indiana, or get a bite to eat after a "Bridgerton"-themed waltz, perhaps at a Netflix-inspired dining experience like “Chef’s Table” Or “Somebody Feed Phil.”
Netflix says it wanted to put one of the first locations here at KOP because it’s already one of the most popular shopping centers in the country. They're also building one at the Galleria in Dallas, Texas.
Jack, who was in town from Poland, says he’d like to see “Squid Game” come to life, but with the stakes lowered.
“This was like the core concept that there is no place for any mistake or you will die,” he said.
Another person said they would like to see the demogorgon from “Stranger Things” in person.
“Maybe have the aliens from there and stuff like that. The models and stuff like that that would be pretty cool.”
The attractions will be “regularly updated.”
Netflix plans to build sculptures and have a mural painted outside of the building.
It's set to open next year where the Lord & Taylor store used to be.
