PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia takes center stage in a new show that will be viewed by an international audience.
If you combine Shark Tank with a dash of philanthropy, sprinkle in some mentorship, and set it in the Delaware Valley, you get "Wolf PAC of Philadelphia."
The show brings in five high-level entrepreneurs who do "a deep dive” into local businesses in the Philadelphia area interested in expanding, as well as being mentored and financed.
Executive producer and Philly native Craig Shoemaker said the show works with a wide range of businesses.
“Philadelphia is the perfect place, because it's not only the perfect place for business but it's about community and there's a big philanthropic piece to what we do,” Shoemaker explained.
Shoemaker said those businesses competing for funds truly learn what it means to give back.
“We really want the audience to be inspired, because these days especially, we're in a time of a big reboot and a refresh and a pivot. Many people can get out of this how to establish a new business,” he said.
The show premieres on Amazon Prime on Jan. 12.
