PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A delivery worker was shot and killed after he dropped off pizzas in North Philadelphia overnight.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. at a Philadelphia Housing Authority complex at 23rd and Edgeley streets.
“He was making a pizza delivery to one of the properties — 2300 Edgeley at the Raymond Rosen homes. That particular apartment where he was making the delivery is an abandoned vacant property,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
Police don’t know who let the delivery man into the complex or who accepted the pizzas if no one lives there.
Surveillance video captured two men walking behind the delivery man but didn’t catch the shooting itself.
Investigators have the phone number that made the pizza order. They hope that might lead them to the shooter.
