Bill Cosby is planning a comedy tour, spokesperson says

Now free from prison, Bill Cosby wants to hit the road for a comedy tour.

Cosby’s representative, Andrew Wyatt, told TMZ that his team has “contacted several promoters and comedy clubs who they say are open to the idea.”

TMZ also reported that Cosby is working on a five-part documentary series about his life that would include his trial and prison sentence.

“He'll be sitting down soon to do his interview for the project,” according to the outlet, which will include interviews by family, friends and other celebrities.

The 83-year-old served about three years of a three- to 10-year sentence at the State Correctional Institution Phoenix in Montgomery County when was released on June 30. He was found guilty in 2018 of three counts of felony indecent assault for drugging and raping Temple University women’s basketball coach Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.

Cosby’s conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which found his due process rights were violated. A panel of judges said in their opinions that a former Montgomery County district attorney's decision to not prosecute Cosby in 2005 in return for his deposition in a civil case was ultimately used against him at trial, violating his rights.

Cosby tweeted his thanks to supporters after he was released.
