PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania continues to see record numbers of new positive COVID-19 cases as state health officials Thursday confirmed 2,900 additional positive cases.
It's the single highest daily increase of cases since the start of the pandemic, with 401 of those cases in Philadelphia.
Statewide, there have been 220,566 coronavirus cases since March.
And things aren't a whole lot better in New Jersey, where officials announced an additional 2,104 positive cases, bringing the state total to 247,219 cases.
Gov. Phil Murphy said well over 100 of Thursday's new cases are in Camden County.
He said over the last three days, the Garden State has seen an increase of more than 6,400 positive cases.
