PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Looking for some activities to occupy your family during winter break?

The Penn Museum has you covered with their family-friendly Winter Break exhibit.

It runs Dec. 27 - 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While there, people can see the largest Egyptian sphinx in the Americas, learn about the different cultures of Africa, Asia, Mexico and Central America, listen to stories, make art, play games and enjoy some fresh cookies.

Jennifer Brehm, director of community engagement at the Penn Museum, feels the exhibit is great for people of all ages to learn and explore.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring your family – we have so many opportunities for many different ages,” she added.

Some of those opportunities can be found in their Eastern Mediterranean gallery, where people can see, smell and touch their way through ancient history by touching replica artifacts, smelling frankincense and peering into animated reconstructions of an ancient city.

They also have a U-2 Spy Plane exhibit that shows photography from top-secret missions taken during World War II.

Tickets to the exhibit can be reserved here and anyone under the age of 17 is free.
