SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Camden County are investigating an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday morning in Pennsauken.
Officers arrived around 9 a.m. at a home on Bethel Avenue, where a woman was found shot on the front steps of a home on Bethel Avenue. The victim, identified as 59-year-old Janet Camacho, was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, a man, identified as Camacho's brother Daniel Lopez, 60, barricaded himself inside. Police said he was found dead inside the home just after 10:30 from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The shooting remains under investigation and police did not release any additional information.
