PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is being sworn in on Capitol Hill as a senator in January, but before that, he's making a detour to Netflix.
The senator-elect tweeted a photo of himself and his wife Gisele in 19th century period clothing, alongside actor Christian Bale.
The two have cameos in Bale's upcoming movie "The Pale Blue Eye."
The thriller is set in the 1830s, and stars Bale as a detective who investigates a string of murders with the help of a young Edgar Allan Poe.
Fetterman met Bale while shooting 2013's "Out of the Furnace" in Braddock, where Fetterman served as mayor.
He recently told a panel just why he asked director Scott Cooper to cast Fetterman in their new movie.
"John's got this fantastic face,” said Bale, “so I said to Scott, 'We've gotta have him in the tavern, right? You've gotta have that face. That's a face that belongs in the 1830s.'"
"The Pale Blue Eye" debuts on Netflix Jan. 6.
