PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Federal authorities in Philadelphia have seized $1.5 million worth of ketamine hidden in packages that were labeled as fishing rods, toys and picture frames.

In one parcel supposed to contain fishing rods, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents on June 21 intercepted 28 pounds of ketamine in plastic buckets. The packages were sent from the Netherlands, bound for Miami.

In a second seizure on June 27, agents discovered four shipments from Germany containing 29 pounds of ketamine in vacuum-sealed bags. The shipments were destined for addresses in Broward County, Florida.
