Pickup truck collides with 2 teens on e-scooter in Delaware County, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two teenage boys are recovering after being hit by a pickup truck in Delaware County Tuesday night.

It happened just before 9 p.m. in Springfield. Police said two 14-year-old boys were riding an electric scooter to the left side of a pickup truck on Bishop Avenue, coming from Garrett Road.

The scooter and truck collided, knocking the boys off the scooter.

The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and was cooperative with the investigation, according to police.

Officials said both teens were treated at the scene and taken to the hospital. One of the boys suffered a broken arm, and the other suffered serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
