Pilot dead after small plane crashes in Bucks County

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One person has died after a small plane crashed in Buckingham Township, Bucks County on Tuesday.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m.

The plane went down in a wooded area near a residential neighborhood off of Charter Club Road and Cold Spring Creamery Road. That's about a mile away from the Doylestown Airport.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.

Authorities have not released the victim's name. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash.
