A Haddonfield, New Jersey woman has been charged with making false statements, after what Cherry Hill police said was a fake report of a police impersonator reaching to grab her during a traffic stop.

Cherry Hill, New Jersey police are asking for people to identify someone whom they say is impersonating an officer, someone who attempted to reach for a woman's body after stopping her vehicle.
According to police, someone driving a white Ford van pulled a woman over on Route 38 at about 1:05 p.m. Monday afternoon.
The white van had red and blue LED warning lights on both the rear doors and the van's grill.
The woman told police that after being pulled over, a man reached into her vehicle and grabbed for her neck. She then pulled away from the scene.
She also told investigators the man is white, in his 30's, with dark red or brown hair and a mid-length beard, and that he was wearing a blue t-shirt with the word "POLICE" on the front.
