GERMANTOWN (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police have released a video in hopes of finding a man and woman they say robbed an autistic man last week as he waited for bus in Germantown.
Authorities say it happened on Friday, Jan. 24 around 7 a.m., as the victim waited for a bus on Chelten Ave. near Pulaski Avenue. They say the man and woman approached the victim, forced him into a nearby store with an ATM and forced him to withdraw money.
As they left, police say the pair grabbed the man’s wallet and $200 in cash before hopping on the Route 26 bus.
