GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP (KYW Newsradio) — Investigators say they're looking for the driver of a dark-colored, four-door sedan, who left the scene after driving into a man at Gloucester Township Community Park on Monday. Police have not released a license plate number.
The man was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with serious injuries.
Officers were called to the park on Hickstown Road in Sicklerville around 3 p.m., after getting calls about someone bleeding.
Firefighters and medics were first to arrive on scene and render aid.
Investigators say there was some type of verbal fight before the man was hit, but it isn't clear who was involved in that altercation.
Police say they don't know which direction the driver went when leaving the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or submit a tip on the Gloucester Township Police Department's website.
