PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Fire officials say a Port Richmond church steeple likely caught fire after it was struck by lightning during an afternoon thunderstorm.
It happened around 4 p.m. Monday at Grace Episcopal Church and the Incarnation at the intersection of Venango and Edgemont streets.
It was placed under control in less than an hour.
Rev. Brian Rallison said he was told there's minimal water damage to the sanctuary.
Fire officials say no injuries were reported.
