PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to shooting a 16-year-old about two and a half years ago on North Broad Street.
Rasheed Black, 25, was charged with several offenses, including attempted murder, for shooting the teen in the leg over a social media post involving a nude photo.
Police say on June 13, 2021, around 1 p.m., a fight broke out about the posts near Broad Street and Chelten Avenue.
Prosecutors say Black was maced during the fight and then ended up shooting the teen.
In a negotiated plea, Black pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and gun offenses, admitting to what happened.
Black will be sentenced in January along Broad Street, not far from where the incident happened.
