PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in New Jersey have arrested a second 14-year-old boy who is accused of intentionally starting a forest fire in Evesham Township, Burlington County a few weeks ago.

The Oct. 30 fire broke out near Sycamore Drive and eventually spread across more than 50 acres.

Last week, authorities charged one teen with aggravated arson and causing or risking widespread injury or damage.

The second teen, from Marlton, was arrested on Tuesday and faces the same charges.

Investigators believe there’s a possible connection between this wildfire and another one in the same area on Nov. 7, which consumed 375 acres.

Evesham police are still searching for other suspects who they believe contributed to starting these fires.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Evesham Police Department by calling 856-983-1116 or the confidential tip line at 856-983-4699. To submit an anonymous tip, text ETPDTIP to 847411.
