PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Wyoming stop on the Broad Street Line now has new station signs.

Last week, orange squares with the Broad Street Line's "B" went up at North Philly's Wyoming Station. It’s the latest installment of SEPTA Metro’s wayfinding signs, which popped up last year at the 30th Street stop. There, you can see a blue square with a white “L,” designating the Market-Frankford Line.

There are also signs for subway-surface trolleys, a green square with the letter "T," and the Norristown High Speed Line, a purple square with the letter “M."

And Lex Powers, SEPTA's director of service information design, says more signs are coming. Right now, Powers says they are working on Logan Station.

“This year, we’re focusing on Broad Street Line and the stations within Center City, which is really the bulk of the heart of the system," Powers said.

He says the complex 15th Street/City Hall Station where so many lines converge will likely be done this summer, with El stops outside of Center City and underground trolley stops in West Philly after that. Powers says he's already heard from one cashier who likes the new signage.

“Fare information is clearly laid out and is at the entrance and is easy for her to point to.”

SEPTA aims to have its new wayfinding system in place for Philadelphia's visitors in 2026, when celebrations for the nation’s 250th birthday will be in full force.

SEPTA also plans to hold a public information campaign to help familiarize change-resistant locals with the new designations.
