PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The FBI arrested a SEPTA police officer earlier this week on charges he was distributing child pornography online.

Brian Zenszer, 43, was taken into custody on Wednesday.

An affidavit supporting his arrest warrant explains how authorities tied Zenzser to two separate accounts that shared several videos and images on the messaging platform Kik. The materials depict suspected child pornography.

An initial tip was submitted to authorities about activity on one of the accounts back on Aug. 5.

When reached by KYW Newsradio for comment, SEPTA called the allegations "disturbing" and said it is fully cooperating with the FBI in its investigation.

Zenszer has been placed on leave pending termination.
