SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey State Park Police are trying to track down a convicted sex offender who they believe may be camping in or near state forests in Burlington and Atlantic counties.

Authorities say 34-year-old Theodore Blackson violated the conditions of his parole. He was released from prison last month.

He’s known to frequent Wharton and Bass River state forests as well as the Batona Trail. Authorities say he usually wears a green camouflage jacket.

Blackson was convicted in 2010 of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. He was released in January 2015 but was sent back several other times.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact park police.
