PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Shane Gillis made comedy history at Lincoln Financial Field Friday night.
Gillis broke the Guinness World Records for the most tickets sold for a comedy show by a solo comedian (more than 76,000) and the largest audience for a comedian (more than 73,900).
Former Eagles center Jason Kelce introduced Gillis to the stage, and Philly rapper Meek Mill and comedian Dave Chappelle performed.
The outdoor show went on despite the ongoing poor air quality in the Philadelphia region caused by smoke from Canadian wildfires.
Gillis' next stop on his current 39-city international tour is Charleston, South Carolina, on Aug. 8.
