PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in East Falls last weekend that injured four people.

It happened just before 5:30 a.m. on July 27 at the intersection of Roberts Avenue and Stokely Street. There, officers found a 26-year-old woman shot in the head and a 23-year-old man shot in the leg. Both were taken to nearby hospitals. The woman is listed in critical condition.

Police say about an hour later, a 33-year-old man arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his face, and about two hours after that, Shomari Betancourt, 33, arrived at a separate hospital, with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Betancourt was detained on an outstanding warrant for domestic assault, but later charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting.
