PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A week after a sinkhole opened up on Route 202 in King of Prussia, the road is closed again due to “pavement failure.”

Crews are back fixing the same stretch of Dekalb Pike after PennDOT reported a depression in the new asphalt.

The northbound side is closed indefinitely. Drivers are being detoured between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard. Southbound lanes remain open.

In the median of Route 202, two sinkholes have appeared. One seems to be about 5 feet wide; the other about 20 feet wide.

Workers discovered the first sinkhole on July 10 after a water main break, which caused the road to close in both directions for about two days.

PennDOT said the new pavement failure was discovered Saturday night. The right lane was closed late Sunday night.

The stretch of road is closed until further notice.
