PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Kingda Ka is no more. The 45-story-high roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure was imploded Friday morning in Jackson Township, New Jersey.
The Jackson Township Police Department warned the public of the noise but said not to be alarmed — and not to stop in Route 537 traffic to watch it.
Instead, watch an aerial view of the implosion here.

Kingda Ka was once the world’s fastest and tallest roller coaster, according to Six Flags. However, the park demolished it to make way for what it calls a new “multi-world-record-breaking launch roller coaster” that will debut at the theme park in 2026.
Kingda Ka, which was introduced in 2005, would launch guests 45 stories into the air, from 0 to 128 miles per hour in seconds.
