PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Skippack Township supervisor and day care owner is facing charges in Maryland of soliciting sex from a child and soliciting images of child sexual abuse.

Township Supervisor Nick Fountain, 38, is currently being held in Montgomery County Prison awaiting extradition to Harford County, located outside Baltimore.

According to charging documents, a detective posted in a Reddit subforum saying he was 14 years old and looking for advice on how to come out to his parents. The detective said a 38-year-old man responded, who was later identified as Fountain.

According to charging documents, Fountain continued the communication despite it being very clear that the boy was 14 years old. The detective said Fountain graphically described things he wanted to do with the boy, and on Sept. 22, he sent an illicit photo of himself, which included furniture that the complaint says matches posts on social media from the Fountain’s home.

Officials said he asked the boy to send similar photos in return.

In addition to being a township supervisor, Fountain owns two day care facilities, Magnolia Enrichment Center in Skippack and Magnolia Children’s Academy in Gilbertsville.

The other members of the Skippack Township Board of Supervisors said they are “shocked” to learn about the charges, which they called “deeply disturbing.” Members said if the allegations are true, Fountain should resign from the board.
