PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for four suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old on a SEPTA bus on March 22.
Video released on March 24 by Philadelphia police shows three teenagers inside a convenience store before getting on a SEPTA bus at Girard and Ridge avenues in West Philadelphia around 12:45 p.m. About 15 minutes later, a fourth teen hopped on the bus.
Police said a fight broke out between those teens and 15-year-old Zahkir Whitfield. The bus stopped and one of the suspects exited from the back of the bus, turned around, and fired into the bus, striking Whitfield in the chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

On Wednesday, March 26, police identified one of the suspects as 17-year-old Zayki Davis. Detectives are working to locate him. Police have not yet publicly identified the other suspects.
Whitfield was a student at Upper Darby High School in Delaware County.
The school released a statement extending thoughts and prayers. Counseling services are available for those who need it.
