PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking to identify two suspects wanted in connection to the armed robberies of two Philadelphia nail salons on Saturday.
They say the first robbery happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Happy Family Nail Salon and Spa on West Girard Avenue. The second happened just three hours later at Nails in the City on Aramingo Avenue.
During both robberies, police say the suspects entered the salons wearing masks, women’s Muslim garbs and sneakers, and held the employees inside at gunpoint, stealing their wallets and IDs. Police add they also stole cash from the registers.
One employee inside the salon on Aramingo Avenue was shot in the leg after pursuing the suspects. She was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.
