PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Congressman Donald Norcross said he was the target of a threat by mail.
The South Jersey Democrat said the Postal Service intercepted a suspicious envelope addressed to his office in Cherry Hill.
Last week, the FBI investigated letters containing a white powder sent to dozens of congressional and election offices across the country, including in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Officials said none of the envelopes tested positive for hazardous substances.
Norcross said in a statement, “It should be a wake-up call to prioritize building a politics where passionate disagreement doesn’t have to be violent.”
