PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 16-year-old boy was shot twice in a North Philadelphia basement Saturday night.
Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace said officers arrived at a house on Rockland Street near A Street in Feltonville around 10:15 p.m.
He said the teenager was shot once in the leg and once in the upper shoulder, just above his heart. He was taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition.
Pace said police believe the shooter is a 15-year-old boy who fled the scene. They also believe the victim was with a group of at least three other teens in the basement when the shooting happened.
One spent shell casing was found at the scene. Police have yet to recover the gun.
They are investigating whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
