PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Temple University officials say they have reached a tentative agreement with the graduate student and research assistants union, ending a weeks-long strike.

The agreement with the Temple University Graduate Students’ Association includes a wage increase for four years and a one-time payment effective this month, as well as health cost reimbursements and reinstated tuition aid.

Graduate student employees will keep their individual health coverage, but there was no mention of dependent care coverage which students demanded.

The union agreed to withdraw pending claims of unfair labor practices related to the negotiations process.

Officials say the union will present the agreement to its membership for voting in the coming days.

KYW Newsradio reached out to union leaders, but did not initially hear back Friday evening.
