Think about it — drunk drivers can change an innocent person's life in an instant. The wildfires in Canada created thick smoke, hazardous air and the scent of burning wood in our neighborhoods.
The examples are limitless, but our increasingly intimate connections with others throughout the world has been center stage over the past few years. During the pandemic, we saw clearly that disease doesn't respect borders, and the selfless or selfish actions of others can potentially make us very sick.
We should do all we can to protect our health, but we should always be concerned about others. We are in this together.
