PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The new year ushered in new 3% toll rate hikes for three major New Jersey roads: the Garden State Parkway, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Atlantic City Expressway.

While the increase affects impacts people who pay with cash and with E-ZPass users, there is a difference between the two. For example, Garden State Parkway tolls will increase on the Parkway’s main line from $2.20 to $2.30 for cash customers and from $2.09 to $2.17 for E-ZPass customers.

2025 is the fourth consecutive year with a 3% increase for the Parkway and Turnpike. The money is used to pay for long-term capital projects, operations and maintenance.
