PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are still looking for the fourth suspect accused of being one of the shooters in the Northeast gunfire last week at a SEPTA bus station that injured 8 teenagers.
17-year-old Asir Boone was given a deadline to turn himself in earlier this week and officials say they briefly spoke to Boone’s family about it, warning them of the manhunt that would ensue.
The Feds are trying to track Boone, who has a warrant for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and conspiracy charges. The U.S. Marshal’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Boone and says the cash will be “processed immediately upon arrest.”
Boone is accused of being one of the teenagers seen on surveillance video firing at a large group of teenagers, striking eight Northeast High School students with bullets. Jaamal Tucker, the suspected getaway driver, Ahnile Buggs, and Jermahd Carter have all been arrested and charged with the same offenses.
Investigators are looking into if the four are connected to another shooting a few days prior where a 17-year-old was killed in Ogontz.
Officials say anyone helping Boone will be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”
