PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Do you like destroying your friendships over a simple card game? There’s none that do it quite like UNO, and one Philly venue is bringing the game to patrons for one special night this summer as it goes on a global tour.
Kung Fu Necktie in the city’s Fishtown section is the first stop on a new five-city tour of the U.S. for the UNO Social Club.
It’s a new, in-person way to experience the beloved card game from Mattel, which launched last summer for two nights at Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort.
There will be local DJs performing, UNO-themed decor and prizes, and of course, plenty of classic UNO gameplay.
The tour kicks off at Kung Fu Necktie on Wednesday, July 1 from 6-9 p.m. Those interested can RSVP on Mattel’s website.
New York City, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles are the other stops this summer for the social club. In the fall, it goes to Rio, Tokyo, London, and more global destinations.
