PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania State Police said one man has taken “Gotta catch ‘em all” a bit too far, after making off earlier this month with more than $9,000 worth of Pokemon cards from a shop in Montgomery County.

Troopers said they are looking for a man in his 20s who walked into the Montgomery County Nashcards store on West Main Street in Trappe Borough on May 4 and left with a prized collection of cards.

It was about 11:45 that morning when the unidentified suspect asked the clerk to look at several pieces of merchandise.

The man ran out, troopers said, with a 2021 Japanese Gengar VMAX 108781525 PSA 10 card (PSA 10 being a graded mint condition card) worth $2,500, a 2005 Gold Star Metagross Delta Species 139716038 PSA 6 card worth $2,850 and a sealed XY Booster Box worth $4,200.

State police said the suspect got into the back seat of a tan SUV with a new Pennsylvania Liberty Bell license plate that sped off toward Collegeville on West Main Street.

Officials have asked anyone with information to call the State Police Skippack barracks.
