Video: Suspect wanted for shooting man at Frankford bus stop

Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who shot a 32-year-old man in the city’s Wissinoming neighborhood last month.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who shot a 32-year-old man in the city’s Frankford neighborhood last month.

Detectives on Monday released surveillance video of the shooting, which happened on Aug. 24 around 4:15 a.m. on Torresdale Avenue, near Bridge Street.

A man with a beard, wearing a book bag and a white tank top, is seen chasing after the victim at a bus stop. The muzzle of a gun flashes once, and the victim goes down. The suspect then turns and runs away.

The victim was critically injured after being shot in the abdomen.

Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip by calling or texting 215-686-8477. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online.
