PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A shelter-in-place order has been lifted at Villanova University after a man pulled a gun on a SEPTA conductor and fled onto campus.
The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.
SEPTA officials said a man got into an argument with a conductor on the Norristown High Speed Line about paying his fare.
When the man got off the train at Villanova Station, authorities said he kicked the door, pulled out a gun and tapped it on the window of the train.
He was seen running across the pedestrian bridge over Lancaster Avenue, which leads to Villanova’s main campus.
On Wednesday morning, Villanova University said Radnor police searched the campus but did not find the suspect.
Police do not believe he is still in the area, nor does he pose a threat, so classes and other activities will take place as scheduled.
