PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Plymouth Township police are actively searching for the man they say fired shots into a Wawa early Sunday morning and struck two people.
Around 3:30 a.m. at 1300 East Ridge Pike, police say 26-year-old Kyeem Sheirron Whitt of Norristown fired "numerous shots" into the convenience store.
The two victims were shot inside the store and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Both are expected to physically recover.
Investigators do not yet know if the shooter knew the victims.
Authorities issued a warrant for Whitt and charged him with attempted murder.
