PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A woman's body has been found near the Schuylkill River Trail in Lower Providence, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
A man turned himself in to police in Upper Darby, allegedly confessing to the murder. That led police to find the woman's body on the Betzwood Trailhead.
An initial investigation revealed that the woman was strangled. The woman and man were in a relationship.
The suspect is in custody.
The district attorney's office said they are investigating, but did not initially release the identity of the victim and suspect, or what charges may be pending.
