WILLINGBORO, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A 32-year-old woman has been charged with murder for allegedly beating her mother to death inside the victim’s South Jersey home on Monday, authorities said.

Breanna Beacham is charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Tuesday. Beacham had been temporarily staying with her mother, Kim Beacham-Hanson, at her home on Hopewell Lane in the Hawthorne Park neighborhood of Willingboro.

Around 4 p.m. Monday, police responded to a report of an assault taking place at the house. Officers found the victim’s body, and the initial investigation showed the 57-year-old woman had been bludgeoned to death, investigators said.

The Burlington County medical examiner conducted an autopsy and determined the victim’s death was a homicide caused by “multiple blunt injuries.”

Police arrested Breanna Beacham that night. Investigators have not released a motive for the attack.
