PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An 83-year-old woman sitting on her front porch was hit by a stray bullet during a shootout on her block in North Philadelphia.
It happened Wednesday afternoon on Gratz Street, near Dauphin Street.
The woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Surveillance video shows a man get out of a car and fire a hail of bullets. He then gets back in and speeds away as someone shoots back.
Police found more than 40 shell casings from two guns at the scene.
A car was also hit by bullets; the driver jumped a curb and hit a utility pole. The car was still running when police arrived on the scene. A gun was inside, but there was no driver.
