Wednesday’s Child: Damien

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Damien is a sweet, older teen who exudes warmth and positivity. You will often find the 19-year-old with a smile.

Kelly Carroll, his adoption recruitment worker, explains his sunny demeanor.

"It's very, very infectious. He has a way to bring that positivity and energy wherever he's at," said Carroll.

Damien goes to school full-time and dreams of becoming a firefighter. He likes the lights and sirens — and the idea of helping out his community.

"I'm funny, nice, helpful," he said.

He is also proud of his ability to help around the house. Unlike most teens, he enjoys his cleaning chores.

Damien loves to take part in sports, thrives on routine, and is an animal lover. Cats hold a special place in his heart.

He will need a family to support him through his goals, provide loving support, and give him high-quality one-on-one attention.
