- Twenty-five years ago, hijacked planes took down both World Trade Center towers and crashed into the Pentagon. Another plane believed to be headed to Washington crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. For many of us, September 11th is remembered as the most historic day of our lifetime. From bells tolling, moments of silence, and wreaths being laid, ceremonies across the country remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost. Here in our region, the annual remembrance ceremony took place at the Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield, Bucks County.
- In Philadelphia, it took 25 years, but the city is recognizing the service of police and firefighters who were sent to New York on 9/11 to assist in the recovery.
- The last of six people arrested and charged in a shooting that killed a teenager outside Roxborough High School will spend at least 40 years in prison.
- Police are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Ogontz Friday morning.
- A grand jury report has revealed disturbing new details about an attack at Gracedale Nursing Home in Northampton County.
