- The warning period is officially over, and drivers will start getting tickets for parking in the newest smart loading zones in Center City.
- Philadelphia City Council begins its fall session Thursday after a summer recess. New city trash contracts have to be approved this session, but other issues are vying for attention.
- Apple picking season is here, but area orchards aren’t yielding the fall apple harvest we’re used to, due to a late spring frost that killed many crops in our region. Now orchards are telling customers to pick them while they can.
- Thursday is the first session of a new, free skating and hockey clinic from the Gaudreau family.
