13-year-old on bike critically injured after being struck by car in Southwest Philly

A 13-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bike in Southwest Philadelphia Thursday night. He is in critical condition. Philadelphia police said the boy was crossing Island Avenue at Lindbergh Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. when he was struck by a Ford Fusion. The driver stopped and stayed there until police arrived.
