Authorities are warning residents about a black bear sighting in Bucks County.
Solebury Township police said residents near Taylor Lane and Aquetong Road saw the bear in their backyard Friday morning. The bear didn’t stick around; it wandered into an open field without incident.
Authorities said black bears are usually wary of humans and rarely attack.
Anyone who encounters a bear should not feed or approach it. Stay calm, avoid eye contact, and make loud noises.
And, whatever you do, officials said, never run from a bear.
