There are so many restaurants where you can grab a quick lunch, but fewer people are doing so. That's what the owners of the Philly chains Federal Donuts and Goldie say is behind their decision to close most of their locations.
Three of the five donut and fried chicken spots in the city will shut down. Only one of the falafel shops will remain open, at 19th and Sansom streets.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the CookNSolo owners say "weekday lunch traffic has never really returned to full strength" since COVID.
